Applications are invited for an MSc/PhD position in the Hamilton Institute at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. The vacancy is in the application of statistical machine learning techniques to networked systems.

The Hamilton Institute has a very active research group in communication networks. The position is sponsored by a flagship network company and would include active industry interaction including the opportunity for an industry placement in the US. Candidate Profile

Good numerate and analytic skills will be essential. Applicants should have a good understanding of machine learning and time-series analysis, and some degree of familiarity with IP networking is desirable. Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are required. In addition, the candidate should be a team player who is capable of working within a larger research group.

Duration and Remuneration
