Workshop on Modern Methods for Data Intensive Modelling of Nonlinear Dynamic Systems
Sunday, April 28th, 2002The topic of the Workshop is empirical/semi-empirical methods for mathematical modelling of nonlinear systems. This topic encompasses fields including system identification, time series analysis, neural network and fuzzy-logic modelling, embedding and shadowing theory and practice. Research in this area is of direct interest in disciplines including engineering, applied mathematics, physics, statistics and computer science. The aim of the workshop is to bring together relevant research groups within the UK and Ireland with a view to clarifying common interests, encouraging exploration of potential inter-disciplinary synergies and generally foster communication between disciplines and the strengthening of links between researchers.
