The nearest airport to Maynooth is Dublin Airport. It is possible to travel from the airport to Maynooth by taxi or by a combination of bus and train. Taxis are available outside the main terminal building; however a taxi from the airport to Maynooth may cost upwards of 50 euro. It is also possible to take a bus into the city centre and then travel by train to Maynooth.


The fastest way to Maynooth by bus and rail is to take the number 16 bus from the airport as far as Drumcondra train station. You can then take a train from Drumcondra to Maynooth. The total cost of the bus and train is of the order of 10 euro.

A variety of accommodation options are available in the Maynooth region.

The main hotel in the town is the Glenroyal Hotel, which is situated a mere 5 minutes walk from the campus.

Further hotels are available in the nearby town of Leixlip, which is connected to Maynooth by a regular bus and train service. The journey time from Leixlip to Maynooth is approximately 10 minutes.
