About Me

I am originally from Singapore, a very small country, size of a dot on the map. I graduated with B.Eng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. I was later employed as a Research Assistant with the Industrial Control Centre.

Current Position

I am currently employed as a Research Assistant at the Hamilton Institute, where I am working towards a Ph.D degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. I am also a member of the newly-established Systems Modelling Group in Hamilton Institute.

Research Interests

My current research involves the investigation of Gaussian Processes and its applications. Several works include the extension of independent multiple stochastic processes within a single model, under Bayesian context, and the development of fast algorithms for handling largescale time-series data. Application on data analysis, particularly, system identification, has been performed on real data using Gaussian process prior models, such as wind turbine data, consisting 24,000 time-series data points. The extension of Gaussian processes in state-space models was also investigated.

Main Research Detail
  • Fast computation using Generalised Schur algorithm
  • Combined State-space Time-series stochastic Gaussian processes
  • Multiple Gaussian processes of independent explanatory variables
  • Multiple Gaussian processes within a single explanatory variable
  • Identification of nonlinear dynamic systems using Gaussian process
