As a Pharmacist, my main concern is to help patients to heal or at least improve their quality of life. One way to do so is to help the development of therapies. In a way, I have always been fascinated by the biotechnology drugs. The interactions involved in their mechanism of action are complex and not fully understood. A real challenge is to link the knowledge on their pharmacology, kinetics and dynamics to develop mechanistic and physiological-based models which would allow a better understanding of such compounds and would support optimisation of their development.
