Title: Computational complexity and nature

Abstract:
We will introduce some relevant aspects of computational complexity
theory, in particular the field of parallel complexity theory. Then the
talk will focus on recent results on the computational complexity of an
optical model of computing. We will also discuss ongoing projects on simple
universal systems and on the computational complexity of Biological systems.
